Zayn Malik Announces 'Dusk Till Dawn,' New Song Feat. Sia

The Bradford bad boy is back! Zayn Malik is preparing for his second album and has officially announced the release date of his new song, “Dusk Till Dawn,” featuring Sia. The hitmaker revealed on Friday, September 1, that the collaboration will drop Thursday, September 7. The former One Direction singer announced the details on social media Friday (Sept. 1). Teaser art for the song resembles a movie poster and reveals Jemima Kirke, who stars as Jessa on Girls, will appear in its Marc Webb-directed music video. The “Like I Would” singer teased the music video for the new track with a photo that looks somewhat like a movie poster, featuring himself, a woman in a fur coat, a cop and bodyguards. The poster reveals that Malik and Girls actress Jemima Kirke will star in the video, which will be directed by Marc Webb. The Script are back and with a whole new sound

After a two-year hiatus The Script are back! And they’ve brought with them a new sound, developed over their break and as a reaction to the changing climate of the music scene – a lot can happen in two years. Their first single from the new album is called Rain, and is an absolute club banger of a track – a far cry from their singalong tracks of yester-year. But still with a strong Script feel, and you can still belt it out at the top of your lungs. Especially that falsetto ‘rain’. You’ll be waking up in the morning singing that one. Taylor Swift's "...Ready for It?" is not as bad as it seems.

This weekend, Taylor Swift released “…Ready for It?,” the opening song from her forthcoming Reputation. If the new single was, as it seems, an attempt to move past the widespread disdain for “Look What You Made Me Do,” then its release was yet another miscalculation in an album rollout full of them. Because “…Ready for It?” is a baffling song. There are artists you expect to put out a clunker every once in awhile: people like Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Ed Sheeran. For Swift, whose quality control is legendary, to release a song this … off is unsettling. Thankfully, “…Ready For It?” is much better than “Look What You Made Me Do,” a song about inner turmoil that feels like its fighting itself, with ugly parts fused together searching for a compromise that is never found. Comparatively, “…Ready For It?” is melodically rich and, when it all comes together, far more coherent. Still, its pleasures are mostly on the surface.
